Biography

Emma joined SonLife as the Children's and Worship pastor in 2003. She loves seeing people develop their potential, grow as disciples, and leading others in worship. During her time at SonLife, her vision has been to see children's ministry and worship ministry grow at SonLife.

In June, 2009 Emma married Isaac Skeete. Isaac and Emma met at SonLife, and their heart for ministry and reaching others for Christ brought them together. They also share a love of children and music, good food and sharing time with family and friends. Isaac assists and leads in various ways at SonLife. Most recently Isaac along with other leaders at SonLife established 314 an outreach focused youth ministry in North Dartmouth.

Favourite Movie: 

Depends on the week! I generally enjoy movies. Most recently I have enjoyed “To Save a Life.”

Favourite Song: 

I have really been enjoying Paul Baloche recently, but Hillsong is my standby. I'm forever saying "oh THAT'S my favorite song..." it usually depends on the day!

Favourite Place to Visit: 

Anywhere warm. Also, anywhere my friends are. Its not where you are, its who you're with (but man does sunshine and warmth help!)

Favourite Food: 

Chocolate. Anything ethnic ie: Asian, Mediterannean, East Indian etc..

Hobbies: 

Reading, movies, spending quality time with my husband, family and friends, music, traveling, shopping!

People laugh at me when: 

I am not trying to be funny. When I do impersonations. When I exaggerate.

Most embarrassing moment in church: 

A while ago, I stepped into freshly poured cement outside Faith Tabernacle (church in Halifax where I grew up). I wasn't so much embarassed as just felt DUMB! There were 10+ construction men around

One other thing you should know: 

I HATE liver and onions!
